Where every street is "Maynestreet"

I was born in Northern Alberta in the summer of 1965 and moved to northeast Calgary at a young age, where I attended school and grew up in a very active, sports-oriented family. I spent much of my youth playing organized hockey and baseball in the Vista Heights and Crossroads communities.

After high school, I spent several years working in Alberta’s oil patch in seismic exploration before returning to Calgary to begin a career in the printing industry. Through dedication and hard work, I advanced into a foreman role, where I furthered my education through adult learning and engineering courses at the University of Calgary. During this time, I developed strong skills in leadership, training, and process improvement—skills that continue to benefit my clients today.

My interest in real estate began early when I purchased my first home at the age of 22. Being involved in every step—from selecting finishes and layout to developing the yard—sparked a lasting passion for homes, design, and property development.

In 1996, after getting married, I moved into a home in northwest Calgary, where my family and I raised our two children. Over the years, we completed numerous renovations, gaining valuable hands-on experience in home improvement and property value enhancement.

Looking for a new direction, I attended Olds College and earned a diploma in Landscape Management. I then started and operated my own landscaping business, specializing in maintenance, design, and small construction projects.

Having always loved the Shuswap area through years of family vacations, I purchased a lakefront property in Eagle Bay in 2000. In 2005, I made the move permanent and began buying, renovating, and selling homes locally. This experience naturally led me to pursue my real estate license in 2007.

I began my real estate career with Century 21 in Salmon Arm, where I built a strong foundation in the industry. In 2014, I obtained my Broker’s License, and shortly after, I joined Century 21 Lakeside Realty Ltd. in Sorrento to better serve the community I call home. In 2018, I was proud to take on the role of Managing Broker and further expanded my qualifications by obtaining my Property Management license.
